Exporting your NatWest bank statements in CSV format is straightforward and ensures you can easily share data with your accountant or organise your finances. Follow these step-by-step instructions.
- Log in to Online Banking
Open NatWest’s online banking platform on your laptop or desktop computer and log in. - Select Your Account
Choose the account you wish to export by clicking on ‘View Transactions’. - Open the Search Function
On the transaction page, click on ‘Show search’ to reveal search options. - Set the Date Range
- Select ‘Search between two dates’.
- Enter your desired start and end dates.
- Click ‘Search’ to refresh the page.
Note: Some banks, including NatWest, may limit searches to three months at a time. If needed, repeat this step for additional periods.
- Review Your Date Range
Confirm the transactions displayed match the date range you’ve selected. - Export the Transactions
- Click the ‘Export’ button.
- From the dropdown menu, select ‘Excel, Lotus, 123, Text (CSV file)’.
- Download Your File
- Verify the account and date range are correct on the export confirmation page.
- Click the ‘Download’ button.
- The file will download to your device and appear in your browser’s download bar (usually at the bottom-left corner of the screen).
- Save and Share
Check your downloads folder to ensure the file has been saved. Open the CSV file to verify the transactions. If needed, email or share the downloaded file with your accountant.
